  How many different "rules" do Jehovah's Witnesses have to obey? Can you count them?

  all the big changes for jws since this last fall brought me back to this site, and got me and the wife talking.

  just how many things were we not allowed to do growing up as jehovah's witnesses?

  we were so used to all the rules, customs, and traditions, that we became used to them.. one site i found claims there are 141 unique rules!!

  Repetition. A mind control technique .

  The opposite is true when 'someone' wants you to "forget" something.

  Repetitive word(s). ie,, governing body,, last days,, TRUTH,, meetings,, circiut overseer, donate,, Armageddon,, great tribulation.....list goes on & on.....

  probably everyone else thought of this long ago, but i, being an "independent thunker" thunk of it just a coupla weeks ago.. we all know that since the year zero (on the fredfranzian calendar) the wtb&ts has defied archaeology and insisted that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, even though the physical evidence shows that 587 bce is a more likely date.

  in fact, the book "the gentile times reconsidered: have jehovah's witnesses been wrong all along about 607 bce?

  Its proven by an indoctrination technique.

  The reverse for enforcement of doctrine. Say something more,, more , more & more.

  When ones entire theology hangs on a mere thread with no backing they really pull out all the stops to uphold their confirmation biases.

  You can get disfellowshipped for what ever the elders decide. By ones 'apparent' lack of remorse.

  With the shunning to ensue brought on by the kangaroo court.

  And you can get disfellowshipped for breaking any one of them. Subsequent shunning to ensue with loss of entire family,, most of your friends compounding with depression and mental anguish.

  The eronious foundation of WT Borg theology hinges on the flimsy 607BCE 1914 theology.

  Its dependant on it.

  The Borg will just 'say' it less,,less & less.

  Then 'scrub' it from their online library.
